billions. This resulted in GDP deflator 178.105. Per capita GDP was estimated
at USD 2924.29 whereas purchasing power parity (PPP) based per capita GDP was
estimated to be at USD 7728.07.
In 2016, Philippine government's revenue was PHP
2813.22 billions whereas the expenditure was PHP 2869.53 billions. This
resulted Philippine government's net lending / borrowing negative at PHP 56.312
billion in 2016 indicating that enough financial resources were not made
available by the government to boost economic growth.
The current account balance for Philippines was
estimated to be at USD 0.601 billions for the year 2016 and is expected to
decline at a CAGR of 196.44% and reach USD 5.638 by 2022. This balance
indicates the Philippines will be a net borrower by 2022.
