Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),
political and economic alliance of six Middle Eastern countries—Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. Agreement between
the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council was signed on 11 November 1981 in
Abu Dhabi.
GCC countries are experiencing new
economic reality of lower oil prices, despite of high demand from Asian
countries.
Reforms are going on at rapid pace
which is balancing act between diversified economy and local traditions. New
findings predict GDP growth to back on track to 2.3 percent in 2018 from 0.6
percent.
