Situated
on the Pacific coast of Central America, El Salvador has Guatemala to the west
and Honduras to the north and east. It is the smallest of the Central American

enough financial resources were not made available by the government to boost
economic growth.

current account balance for EL Salvador was estimated to be negative at USD
0.669 billions for the year 2016 and is expected to decline at a CAGR of 9.50%
and reach USD 1.737 by 2022. This negative current account balance indicates
the El Salvador is net borrower from the whole world.
